Our water-based OLI-AQUA MODU T 18.32 I 1K+2K multi-layer lacquer for furniture and wooden stairs can be applied as either a one-component or two-component product, depending on requirements.
MODU T can be used for stairs and stair components, as well as throughout professional furniture and interior finishing. It offers good sag resistance with optimal edge coverage. The coating's thixotropy is also ideally suited to hanging parts. It dries quickly and is characterized by good enhancement of the wood grain, elegant pore definition, and lightfastness. This makes it very suitable for overcoating the MODU B/colour-tone pigmented lacquer series.
Without hardener, it withstands all usual stresses and offers high resistance to chemical and mechanical stress. For higher quality requirements, the lacquer can be processed with OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 at a ratio of 10:1.
The clear lacquer can be applied easily using a cup gun, airless, or airmix spraying equipment.

CARE & CLEANING
To keep the staircase looking beautiful for a long time and ensure years of enjoyment, it must be cared for and cleaned regularly and, above all, correctly. A coordinated care concept ensures a long service life and lasting surface quality.
In addition to daily dry cleaning, the parquet cleaner OLI-AQUA CARE is highly suitable for damp mopping and can simply be added directly to the mop water. Occasional refreshing with the parquet maintenance product OLI-AQUA POLISH protects against foot traffic marks and scratches.
APPLICATION
Processing instructions:
- Optimal processing conditions at +20°C and 50% relative humidity.
- Stir the container contents thoroughly before removing material! Always reseal the container well after removing material to protect the contents from drying out (skin formation).
- All fittings carrying material must be made of stainless steel.
- Clean the spray gun with water immediately after use.
- Do not process below +15°C.
- For 2K application, stir in Hardener 13.2. Mixing ratio 10:1. After the viscosity increases, add a maximum of 5% tap water. The pot life is max. 4 hours.
- A repair build-up can be applied with MODU T 1K+2K after sanding and dust removal.
- Surface preparation:
Progressive sanding of the wood with grit 150/180. The finer the sanding, the less the wood can be raised.
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone, and sanding dust.
- Resin-rich and extractive-rich woods such as pine and tropical woods (Limba, Teak, Wengé) must be stripped with 2K lacquer MODU T at a ratio of 10:1 before coating. This also applies to MDF edges and profiles to minimize swelling under conditions of high humidity.
- Recommended system:
Prime with approx. 100-120 g/m² of material.
- After 2 hours of drying, intermediate sanding with grit 240 follows.
- Final coating with approx. 100-120 g/m².
