Which color of OLI NATURA® Super-Pads do I need?

• Beige: medium-soft and grippy, without abrasive action. For spreading and massaging wood oils and waxes into the surface, especially on hardwood.
• White: soft, without abrasive action. For removing light oil residue and for final polishing. Also suitable for polishing maintenance oils and for oiling and waxing softwood.
• Green: hard, with a light abrasive action. For cleaning light to moderate soiling and smoothing raised wood fibers.

Which random orbital sanders are the Super-Pads suitable for?

OLI NATURA® Super-Pads have a diameter of 152 mm and are intended for backing pads with a diameter of 125 or 150 mm. The attachment must fit the fleece pad. Depending on the backing pad, a suitable hook-and-loop adapter may be required. Follow the machine manufacturer's instructions.

How can I protect the backing pad with a Protection-Pad?

A suitable Protection-Pad is attached as a replaceable protective layer between the backing pad and the Super-Pad. It protects the backing pad's hook-and-loop surface from wear. The diameter and hook-and-loop attachment must fit the backing pad and Super-Pad.

A Protection-Pad is not automatically oil-resistant. If it is also intended to protect the backing pad from penetrating oil, the manufacturer must expressly confirm this suitability.

How do I use the Super-Pads for oiling?

Spread and massage the wood oil evenly into the surface with the beige pad. After the specified application time, remove any noticeable oil residue with a lint-free cloth. Then polish with the white pad. Follow the oil manufacturer's and machine manufacturer's processing instructions.

How can I tell whether the polishing is sufficient?

The wood surface should look even and have no wet or sticky oil film. Remove any remaining excess oil and, if necessary, rework the surface with a fresh white pad.

When should I change the white polishing pad?

Use a fresh pad as soon as the pad you have been using no longer picks up light oil residues or no longer polishes evenly.

Do the Super-Pads have an abrasive effect?

White and beige Super-Pads have no abrasive effect. The green Super-Pad is slightly abrasive and can alter the surface. Therefore, test it in an inconspicuous area before cleaning.

Can the Super-Pads be cleaned and reused?

With oxidatively drying wood oils, the oil hardens in the pad. Cleaning and subsequent reuse is then not possible.

Can oil-soaked Super-Pads spontaneously combust?

Yes. Pads soaked with oxidatively drying wood oils can spontaneously combust. After use, moisten them with water, allow them to dry completely outdoors, and only then dispose of them.

Does one pack contain different pad colors?

No. Each pack contains 5 Super-Pads of one color: white, beige, or green. The pads are Ø 152 mm in diameter and 20 mm thick.

Are there also pads for manual application?

For smaller areas, edges, and corners, the OLI NATURA® Pad Set with mini hand pad holder is suitable. For larger areas, rectangular Super-Pads are available for hand pad holders or telescopic handles.
