PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The parquet lacquer for special requirements: Museums, retail spaces, hotels, sports halls or public spaces: The 2K parquet lacquer »OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20« is designed for demanding, heavily frequented wood floors and withstands particularly high loads.
The surfaces sealed with it are exceptionally resistant to chemicals and wear and are very easy to maintain. At the same time, the water-based lacquer offers excellent flow properties, very rapid drying and an extremely attractive surface finish.
With a VOC content of less than 5%, »OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20« is very environmentally friendly, low-odour and meets the frequently required "difficult to ignite" fire-protection certification according to EN 13501-1 Cfl-s1. It has also been tested according to EN 14904 and can be used throughout Europe on sports parquet.
By the way: »OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20« is ideal as a topcoat lacquer for all effect and colour systems with OLI-NATURA Projektöl, OLI-NATURA HS Professional Oil and OLI-NATURA Antique.
Colour design
Whether the parquet has been coloured with »OLI-NATURA HS Professional Oil« or »OLI-NATURA Projektöl«: both oils can optionally be overcoated with »OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20 I 2K parquet lacquer«. For example, if the client or planner prefers a higher gloss level or a closed-pore surface. While the pigmented oil provides the desired colour and minimises edge bonding, the final topcoat lacquer provides mechanical protection.
APPLICATION
Application instructions:
Optimal application conditions are +20°C and 50% relative humidity. Do not apply at floor temperatures below +15°C. Apply the material at room temperature and shake well before use! Shortly before use, OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20 is mixed intensively with OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 at a mixing ratio of 10:1. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before further processing. The pot life is 3 hours. Do not pour excess material back into the container. Do not pour the material onto the floor; apply it from a bucket. Consultation with the application technology department is always required when applying to exotic wood species. intermediate sanding is absolutely necessary if an intermediate drying time of 12 hours is exceeded. After intermediate sanding, overcoat on the same day.
Surface preparation:
Progressive wood sanding with grits 80/100/120. The finer the sanding, the less the wood can become roughened. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free from oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. To minimise edge bonding, prime first with OLI Aqua PRIME 15.81. When renovating old parquet and on critical floors, we recommend an additional roller application of OLI-Universalgrund 1.50 for insulation and adhesion promotion.
Recommended system:
- Roll the lacquer/hardener mixture evenly and thinly in sections at 100 g/m².
- After 2-3 hours of drying, apply the 2nd coat by roller at 120 g/m².
- After drying overnight, sand the lacquer with grit 120-150. Vacuum and apply the 3rd coat by roller at 120 g/m².
- Carefully walkable after 5-6 hours. Fully load-bearing after 8-10 days.
