NORDIC B is an ultra-matte 2-in-1 water-based colored lacquer for professional furniture and interior finishing. It offers high filling and hiding power for intensely colored, dead-matte surfaces with a soft-touch character and anti-fingerprint effect.

The lacquer is adjusted ready for spraying, making it ideal for efficient application in the trade and industry. Alternatively, it can also be rolled or brushed on.

NORDIC B is available in all RAL Classic colors and can be used both as a 1K system and, in combination with OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 (10:1), as a 2K lacquer for heavily used surfaces. For difficult substrates such as MDF, pretreatment with OLI-AQUA Filler 15.88 is recommended.

Typical applications: kitchen fronts, doors, furniture, retail and interior finishing.

PROCESSING / ORDER

Substrate preparation

Wood: stepped sanding K150–180
Panel materials: K180–320
Filler: K280–320
Pre-treat MDF edges and profiles with OLI-AQUA 15.88 insulating filler 8|Wood moisture: 8–12 %
Holzfeuchte: 8–12 %
Substrate must be firm, dry, clean, and free of release agents
Apply at room temperature

👉 Optional 2K: For higher resistance, NORDIC B with OLI-AQUA hardener 13.2 mix at a ratio of 10:1 Pot life: 3–4 hours.

Application

Stir contents thoroughly before use
When using multiple containers, mix different batches together

Raw MDF

Prime with OLI-AQUA 15.88 insulating filler
Dry overnight
Intermediate sanding K280–320
Topcoat with NORDIC B:

1× spray application or
2× roller/brush application (intermediate sanding K280–320 after approx. 2 h)

Solid wood / veneer

First coat of NORDIC B as primer
Drying time approx. 2 h
Intermediate sanding K280–320
Topcoat as above

Primer film

Direct topcoat with NORDIC B without separate primer
1× spray application or 2× roller/brush application (intermediate sanding K280–320 after 2 h)

Coverage

2 coats, approx. 80–100 g/m² per coat
Coverage: approx. 10–12 m²/liter

Drying (at 20 °C / 65% relative humidity)

Dust-dry: approx. 45 min.
Sanding and recoating possible: approx. 2 h
Fully cured: 5–8 days (handle carefully during this time)
Note: drying time increases at low temperatures / high humidity

Shelf life

Unopened original container: at least 24 months
Protect from frost, heat, and direct sunlight

Tool cleaning

Clean immediately after use with water and soap

Pflege & Reinigung +

CARE & CLEANING

Wipe with a damp cloth (if necessary, with a mild cleaning agent). Wipe again with a dry cloth.
