The OLI NATURA® Hardener is the B component for selected OLI NATURA® oils. The additional cross-linking supports curing throughout, accelerates curing and increases the chemical resistance of the treated surface. For approved coloured oils, it supports the incorporation of the pigments.

For floors, stairs, furniture and worktops, according to the application area of the respective oil. Shortly before application, thoroughly mix the hardener with the oil in the specified ratio.

Mixing ratios by volume – oil : hardener

5:1 – Worktop-Oil and Colour-Oil Midnight-Black

0.5 litres of oil + 100 ml of hardener
2.5 litres of oil + 500 ml of hardener

10:1 – HS Professional Oil colourless and Colour HS Professional Oil

1 litre of oil + 100 ml of hardener
2.5 litres of oil + 250 ml of hardener

Only mix the required quantity.

Pot life: For colourless oils, 2–3 hours; for coloured oils, a maximum of 2 hours. Do not continue processing after this time.

What are the benefits of OLI NATURA® Hardener?

OLI NATURA® Hardener supports curing through additional cross-linking, accelerates curing, and increases the chemical resistance of the treated surface. For approved colour oils, it supports pigment integration. It is also suitable for applications with a fine final sanding.

Which oils can I use with OLI NATURA® Hardener?

OLI NATURA® Hardener is approved for use with the following oils. The mixing ratios apply by volume, oil : hardener.

Is OLI NATURA® Hardener a thinner?

No. OLI NATURA® Hardener is a reactive hardener component. It supports the cross-linking and curing of the oil and does not replace an oil thinner.

Can I mix the oil and hardener directly on the wood surface?

No. Before application, mix OLI NATURA® Hardener thoroughly with the oil in the specified ratio. Only prepare the amount required.

How long can I use the mixed oil?

After adding OLI NATURA® Hardener, the pot life for colourless oils is 2–3 hoursand for coloured oils a maximum of 2 hours. Do not continue using the mixture after the pot life has expired.

Can I store the oil-hardener mixture?

No. Mixing in OLI NATURA® Hardener starts the reaction. Use the mixture within the pot life and do not pour it back into the original container.

What do I need to bear in mind with oil-soaked cloths and pads?

Risk of spontaneous combustion: After use, completely soak cloths and pads saturated with oil or an oil-hardener mixture in water and allow them to dry outdoors, spread out individually on a non-combustible surface. Do not fold or stack them. Avoid heat accumulation and follow the safety instructions for the respective oil.

How long can OLI NATURA® Hardener be stored?

OLI NATURA® Hardener can be stored for six months in the unopened original container when stored in a dry place between +5 and +30 °C . Protect from water, moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.

Can I continue using OLI NATURA® Hardener after opening?

After each use, remove product residue from the spout and closure with a clean, dry cloth to prevent the closure from sticking. Do not use water. Immediately seal the container tightly and protect it from moisture. The stated shelf life applies to unopened containers.
