The OLI-CRYL 25.50 Multi-Layer Lacquer is a classic 1K+2K all-round lacquer based on acrylic resin for full-bodied, visually and tactilely sophisticated furniture finishes.
When applied with OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 at a mixing ratio of 10:1, it provides excellent chemical and mechanical resistance as well as extremely lightfast surfaces.
The solvent-based spray lacquer has very good insulating properties on problematic MDF boards when used in 2K applications and is certified as flame-retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1. With some reduction in chemical resistance, the clear lacquer can also be applied without hardener.
CONCLUSION: The OLI-CRYL 25.50 I 1K+2K Multi-Layer Lacquer offers cabinetmakers and joiners a high-quality alternative to conventional NC lacquers. The spray lacquer has a modular formulation and can be enhanced for particularly demanding applications with Hardener 11.4.

APPLICATION /ORDER
Application instructions:
- Optimal application conditions at +20°C and 50% relative humidity.
- Stir the contents of the container thoroughly before removing material.
- Low temperatures slow down or prevent the drying process.
- Due to its hydrogen peroxide resistance, it can also be used on bleached substrates.
- For insulating MDF and wood with a high content of extractives, always apply with OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 (mixing ratio 10:1).
- The hardeners are moisture-sensitive; therefore, reseal the container immediately after removing material.
- For surfaces subject to normal wear, it can also be applied without hardener as a 1K variant. It offers a high-quality alternative to conventional NC lacquers. In this case, dilute with up to 10% OLI-PUR Thinner V 15.
- Caution: For multi-layer systems, do not switch between 1K and 2K application, in order to avoid possible lifting. Apply all layers consistently either with or without hardener.
- The respective intermediate sanding should be carried out immediately before the subsequent coating.
- Pot life with Hardener 11.4 (mixing ratio 10:1) is 8 hours.
- Final film thickness: max. 60 μm.
Surface preparation:
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone, and sanding dust.
- Progressive sanding of the wood with grit 150/180.
Recommended system:
- Prime the material with approx. 130-180 g/m²
- After 2 hours of drying, intermediate sanding follows with grit 240/280/320.
- Final coating with approx. 120-150 g/m²
