The OLI-CRYL 40.40 1K + 2K Filler/Insulating Filler is a multifunctional acrylic-based spray filler. It is characterized by its excellent filling power, outstanding flow, good sandability, and resistance to temperature changes.
Depending on the requirements, it can be used as a pigment filler or insulating filler. Adding OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 at a mixing ratio of 10:1 achieves excellent insulating performance on problematic MDF, milled profiles, and wood with a high content of extractives.
The colored OLI-CRYL 40.55 1K + 2K color lacquer. is particularly well suited for the subsequent topcoat.
CONCLUSION: The OLI-CRYL 40.40 1K + 2K Filler/Insulating Filler offers the cabinetmaking and carpentry trades a high-quality alternative to conventional pigment fillers. The spray filler has a modular formulation and can easily be converted into a multifunctional insulating filler for difficult substrates by adding hardener.
TESTING STANDARDS

APPLICATION
Application instructions:
- Optimal application conditions at +20°C and 50% relative humidity.
- Stir the contents of the container thoroughly before removing material.
- Low temperatures slow down or prevent the drying process.
- Mix containers with different batch numbers before use to avoid color differences.
- The hardeners are sensitive to moisture; therefore, reseal the container immediately after removing material.
- For insulating MDF and wood rich in extractives, always use OLI-CRYL hardener 11.4 (mixing ratio 10:1).
- Caution: For multilayer systems, do not switch between 1K and 2K application to avoid possible lifting. Work consistently in all layers either with or without hardener.
- The respective intermediate sanding should be carried out immediately before the subsequent coating.
- The processing time with hardener 11.4 (mixing ratio 10:1) is 8 hours.
Surface preparation:
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone, and sanding dust.
- Sand wood progressively using grits 150/ 180.
- Pre-sand MDF boards with grit 240.
- Always sand primer film.
Recommended system:
- Prime with OLI-CRYL 40.40 I 2K filler/insulating filler at 150-250 g/m².
- After drying, intermediate sanding follows using grit 240/ 280/ 320.
- With OLI-CRYL 40.55 I 2K color lacquer coat at 130 g/m².
