Our OLI-AQUA PRO M 18.10 | 1K multilayer lacquer is ideal for serial furniture finishing. The water-based clear lacquer is particularly characterized by its very high transparency, good filling power, even flow, fast drying, resistance to blocking, and stability. The material is free from microfoam. This rules out any clouding effect that could compromise the gloss or cause limitations on dark woods.
The viscosity of the water-based lacquer is in the medium range and it is easy to apply by brush and spray. It can be applied with airless, airmix, and cup guns and is suitable for automatic spraying systems. Forced heat or IR drying is possible.
In addition to good resistance to plasticizers in commercially available PVC seals, OLI-AQUA PRO M 18.10 also offers good resistance to creams.
The environmentally friendly water-based lacquer is certified according to the Europe-wide DIN EN 13501-1 test standard (flame retardant) and meets the IOS-MAT-0066 R 4 requirements specified by IKEA for residential and office furniture, as well as the MÖBELFAKTA standard, Cat. 2.

PROCESSING / ORDER
Processing instructions:
- Optimal processing conditions are at +20°C and 50% relative humidity.
- Stir the contents of the container thoroughly before removing any material! Always close the container tightly again after removing material to protect the contents from drying out (skin formation).
- Always close the container tightly again after removing material to protect the contents from drying out (skin formation)
- All fittings in contact with the material must be made of stainless steel.
- Clean the spray gun with water immediately after use.
- Do not process below +15°C.
Surface preparation:
- Progressive sanding of the wood with 150/180 grit. The finer the sanding, the less the wood can roughen.
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone, and sanding dust.
- Resin-rich and extractive-rich woods such as pine and tropical woods (Limba, teak, Wengé) should be insulated with a 2K coating (e.g. OLI-AQUA MODU M) before coating. This also applies to MDF edges and profiles to minimize swelling under high-humidity conditions.
Recommended coating structure:
- Prime with approx. 100-120 g/m² of material
- After 2 hours of drying, perform intermediate sanding with 240 grit.
- Final coating with approx. 100-120 g/m²
