GET INVOLVED EASILY - No training required for VOC-free OLI-NATURA HS Hardener

Whether it is called the B component, accelerator, cross-linker or, more casually, hardener: the fact is that the »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener« has 0% VOC, is emission-free and can be processed without mandatory training. But what are we actually talking about here?

As of August 24, 2023 As of this date, mandatory training comes into force for conventional hardeners with an increased diisocyanate content. Anyone working with hardeners whose diisocyanate content exceeds 0.1 percent must undergo training. This regulation is based on EU Regulation 2020/1149 restricting diisocyanates, which have been classified as a concern from an occupational, environmental and consumer protection perspective. 

NO MANDATORY TRAINING 

We give the green light: Our »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener« has been ahead of its time since 2018 and is state of the art. Anyone who works with this additive does not need to attend training. The reason is that our »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener« which is well below the EU limits. This also means that mandatory training is not required, which which, incidentally, applies to all our hardeners. But aalso impresses in terms of environmental friendliness, our »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener«. This hardener is VOC-FREE, meaning it contains no volatile organic compounds and is therefore emission-free. 

THE NETWORK MAKES THE DIFFERENCE  

Anyone who uses the »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener« with OLI-NATURA 2K oils Who mixes, produces oiled surfaces with very high chemical resistance and accelerates drying. In other words: Adding the hardener significantly shortens the curing reaction of the oxidatively drying oil because it initiates an additional cross-linking reaction of the oil molecules. The duo forms particularly dense oil structures that are firmly anchored in the wood and highly resistant. The beneficial basic properties of oil-based surfaces are retained. 

SAVES TIME 

The name itself suggests »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener« increases final hardness and shortens the drying and curing time. This is particularly useful when time is of the essence: for example, to keep downtime for freshly oiled wooden floors in schools and hotels to a minimum, or to save production time and storage capacity. Furniture surfaces such as wooden tabletops or washbasins that are exposed to heavy daily use can also be protected very effectively with 2K oils. With the addition of hardener to the »OLI-NATURA Colour-Oils« and »OLI-NATURA HS Professional Oils« also shows a more intense coloration.

FASTER DARKER 

Especially for the »OLI-NATURA Colour-Oils« and above all the MIDNIGHT-BLACK« are highly compatible with the »OLI-NATURA HS Hardener«. Adding the hardener component further enhances the color and fixes it optimally. That is why we are working intensively on concepts that »OLI-NATURA Colour-Oils« to offer it as a 2K variant in the future. At the same time, we will continue to develop products such as »OLI-NATURA Scandic-Oil« optionally offer it as a 2K product and meet the wishes of raw wood effect fans. However, this will not become an issue until the new product year begins in April 2023 at the earliest.  

WHICH OILS CAN BE MIXED WITH A HARDENER 

The hardener can be mixed with numerous OLI-NATURA Oils & Waxes apply easily without a great deal of time. These include:  

WHAT SHOULD BE OBSERVED DURING APPLICATION 

Although this hardener is not classified as hazardous, the usual safety precautions, such as wearing gloves, should be observed. Here are some tips:  

• Process HS Hardener at room temperature and shake well before use!
• Mix HS Hardener thoroughly with the oil in the specified ratio shortly before use.
• Process the oil-hardener mixture immediately and do not pour excess material back.
• Stirring regularly stabilizes the mixture's viscosity.
• Observe pot life (processing time)
