All Paletti

The idea of making furniture from transport pallets is winning over more and more enthusiastic woodworking enthusiasts. Especially when the resulting furniture is naturally protected with OLI-NATURA oils and waxes.
Without transport pallets, nothing works in the movement of goods. But the unassuming transport pallet can do even more. It has now become the favorite building material of the upcycling movement. Today, pallet furniture for indoors and outdoors is made from this extremely interesting material. In the meantime, the rough material appeals to all age groups and social milieus around the globe. It is the new trend material that is simply reassembled. In addition, pallet furniture is sturdy, inexpensive, natural and, above all, sustainable. It is no wonder that discarded European pallets are increasingly beginning a new life as coffee tables, double beds, bookshelves or lounge garden furniture.

Also suitable for do-it-yourself projects
The new popularity of the wooden pallet has recently reached creative furniture workshops. They build and sell handmade pallet furniture that has nothing in common with quickly cobbled-together furnishings. Rather, these are creative one-of-a-kind pieces made from recycled pallet wood that are guaranteed to earn envious looks from guests. But you do not have to be a carpenter to make pallet furniture. With a little manual skill, you can easily build a bed or a table yourself from the prefabricated wooden elements. The internet also offers plenty of ideas, tips and step-by-step instructions on the subject of “building pallet furniture yourself.”

Natural protection for new furniture made from old pallets
European pallets are very durable and require little maintenance. If you do not like the raw wood, you can treat it with OLI-NATURA oils & waxes. The oils and waxes are not just pleasing to the eye - they also protect the wood from within. For pallets used indoors and outdoors, the »OLI-NATURA boiled linseed oil« and »OLI-NATURA Yacht & Teak Oil« are particularly suitable. For indoor furniture, the »OLI-NATURA Hardwax Oil« is also recommended. In general, the pallets should be thoroughly cleaned and sanded before painting. Then apply the oil evenly and thinly in the direction of the wood grain and allow it to absorb briefly. Highly absorbent wood may need to be treated a second time. Any excess oil can be removed with a cotton cloth. Incidentally, the oiled surface can be refinished very easily, which is not possible with lacquered surfaces. The affected area can simply be lightly sanded locally and reoiled.
